McDonald's Turkey, which has forged strong cultural ties and contributed to the country's economy through the services it has provided since it began operating in Turkey in 1986 , continued its growth in 2025. The company, which increased its contribution to the Turkish economy through production based on a local supply ecosystem to $1 billion, stood out with its digitalization investments and practices supporting equal opportunities in employment.

"We aim to reach 500 restaurants within 5 years."
In 2025, McDonald's Turkey opened 36 new restaurants, reaching food lovers not only in Istanbul and Izmir, but also in Antalya, Ankara, Eskişehir, and Bursa. On the tourism route, it opened restaurants in Fethiye, Göcek, Kuşadası, Selçuk, Bodrum, and Altınoluk.
“In 2025, we continued our growth nationwide,” said McDonald's Turkey CEO Mwaffak Kanjee . “With 306 restaurants and over 10 employees, we continue to expand our service network and are happy to contribute to this land to which we are strongly connected with our 98% local ownership rate. In 2026, we plan to open 38 new restaurants, continuing to please our guests and create value for our country.” Kanjee added that they aim to reach 500 restaurants within five years.
"We have reached 10 employees through inclusive employment."
Mwaffak Kanjee stated that McDonald's Turkey has a strong and inclusive employment policy ; “As part of our growth plans, we increased the number of our employees to 2 last year with the employment of 10 people. This year, we will continue our growth by employing another 2 people.”
Referring to the female employment rate, Kanjee said ; “The share of women in our total workforce has reached 50,5%. Our female employees, who actively participate in all positions from team members to managers in our restaurants, hold an important place in our brand's field workforce structure. We will continue to support female employment through our collaborations with İŞKUR (Turkish Employment Agency) and local municipalities, and create more employment opportunities for women with flexible working arrangements.”

McDonald's Turkey, which is also focusing on digital investments that will take the in-restaurant experience to the next level in 2025, has launched 594 order kiosks across the country as part of its " Future Restaurant Experience " initiative. "This standard we have set is being closely followed on a global scale," said Kanjee , adding that they hosted management teams from Dubai, South Korea, Latin America, and South Africa, including the American Global Board of Directors, in Turkey throughout the year to see the impact of this transformation on the ground.
Communication studies brought international awards.
McDonald's Turkey also made headlines throughout the year with its high-visibility campaigns. Reaching wide audiences with campaigns such as Minecraft, Friends, The Eighth Family, Grimace, and McAffordable Menus , the brand received significant awards in the fields of communication and marketing.
McDonald's Turkey, which won a silver award at the Crystal Apple Awards in 2025 , has also won major awards in the field of communication at prestigious competitions such as the IPRA Golden World Awards and the Golden Compass Public Relations Awards . The brand, which also received two gold awards each at the Effie and Mixx Awards , recognizing effective advertising and campaigns, was included in Great Place to Work's "Best Employers for Young Generations" list. Furthermore, international awards such as the 2024 EMEA Development and 2025 T3 Market Zero awards further demonstrate the brand's successful work.
