Bahçeşehir University, Türkiye's first and largest Far East restaurant chain SushiCo BAU Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu, SushiCo Founding Partner Baran Dumanoğlu, and senior officials from both parties attended the collaboration signing ceremony held today (Monday) at Bahçeşehir University's South Campus in Beşiktaş.

47-Hour Applied Gastronomy Program
The comprehensive 47-hour gastronomy training program, offered as part of the BAU – SushiCo Edition – Far Eastern Cuisine Certificate Program, which will begin on November 20, 2025, will offer participants the opportunity to experience the rich diversity of Far Eastern cuisine firsthand. The program covers a wide range of topics, from sushi preparation techniques and noodle and rice dishes to wok-based cooking and Asian soups. The training will be conducted by an expert team consisting of SushiCo's experienced chefs and academics from the BAU School of Applied Sciences – Gastronomy and Culinary Arts. In addition to learning professional cooking techniques, participants will also undergo a productive training process focused on professional culinary discipline, international culinary vision, and the dynamics of the gastronomy sector.
Will Inspire Future Chefs
The program offers significant career opportunities for all participants. Participants who successfully complete the program will be offered an internship at SushiCo, Türkiye's most prestigious Far Eastern restaurant chain, following an interview and peer evaluation. Participants will gain industry experience and embark on a career journey that meets international standards.
This special training program, in which BAU and SushiCo join forces, aims to raise the bar of gastronomy education in Türkiye while inspiring the next generation of aspiring chefs internationally.
