Emirates Started Flights to Istanbul with New Generation A350 Aircraft
Emirates, the world's largest airline, has officially put its new Airbus A1 aircraft into service between Dubai and Istanbul as of July 350.
Featuring Emirates’ latest interiors, equipped with industry-first technologies and innovations, and offering an exceptional level of comfort on flights, the new generation A350 aircraft will begin operating in Istanbul on EK 117/118 flights, strengthening the airline’s connection with its passengers in Türkiye.
Mehmet Gürkaynak, Emirates Country Manager for Türkiye, Bulgaria and Romania made the following statements on the subject: “We are proud to have successfully completed our first flight to Istanbul with our A350 aircraft. Thanks to both the technological features and comfort level of this new generation aircraft, we offer our passengers a brand new travel experience. Offering new opportunities to Emirates, the A350 will provide access to more routes and further increase the efficiency and flexibility of our fleet. Turkey, where we have been operating flights for almost 40 years, has always had strategic importance for Emirates. In this regard, we will continue to work to always offer our passengers the best service with our newest products.”
*Emirates flight EK117 departs from Dubai every day at 18:00 and arrives in Istanbul at 21:35. The return flight, EK118, departs from Istanbul at 23:20 and arrives in Dubai at 04:50.
The Emirates A350 stands out with its three spacious cabin classes; 32 new generation Business Class seats that can be converted into beds, 21 Premium Economy and 259 Economy Class seats with wide pitches, serving a total of 312 passengers. The latest in-flight products reflect the airline’s commitment to deliver a first-class passenger experience while optimizing service efficiency. The Emirates A350 is the first new aircraft type to join Emirates’ fleet since 2008.
With extra-high ceilings and wider aisles in all classes, the Emirates A350 combines a stylish design with a spacious interior. Passenger comfort is a top priority, while seat arrangements offer each passenger more private space. The seat layout in the Emirates A350 Business Class cabin is designed with one seat by the left window, two seats in the middle and one seat by the right window (1-2-1). The layout in Premium Economy is designed with two seats by the left window, three seats in the middle and two seats by the right window (2-3-2). In Economy Class, there are three seats by the left window, three seats in the middle and three seats by the right window (3-3-3). This design provides all passengers with easier access to the aisle. The A350 has a very wide galley area where refreshments are prepared, and the ergonomic design of the overhead cabinets also provides more space.
Alongside Emirates’ next-generation products and award-winning service, passengers will experience an enhanced flight experience with state-of-the-art touches such as wireless charging in Business Class, electric window blinds in Premium Class that reveal the UAE’s iconic tree and Emirates’ signature bronze and gold Ghaf tree motif when closed, new touch-sensitive crew call bell buttons on the ice inflight entertainment screens, digital inflight menus, 60-watt USB C charging at every seat with the ability to pair two Bluetooth connections for personal headphones. The next-generation version of the airline’s ice inflight entertainment system offers cinematic screens with stunning 4K and 4K HDR on ultra-responsive touchscreens for seamless navigation and much more.
