Stating that they are expecting a record number of ships and passengers this year, Global Ports Holding Eastern Mediterranean Ports Director Aziz Güngör said, “The fact that we will be hosting 14 ships that will come to Bodrum for the first time this year shows that our destination is increasingly preferred in the international arena.”
Bodrum Cruise Port, which is part of the portfolio of Global Ports Holding, the world's largest cruise port operator, opened the cruise season with the Palau-flagged Astoria Grande. The ship docked at Bodrum Cruise Port on April 756 with 432 passengers and 3 crew from Amasra Port and will continue sailing on the Marmaris route. Astoria Grande will visit Bodrum twice more in 2025.
Bodrum Cruise Port, which is also on the radar of world-famous luxury cruise companies such as Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Emerald Cruises, Silversea Cruises and MSC Explora Journeys, will continue its cruise season until mid-November. During the season, Aroya belonging to Aroya Cruises will have 13 voyages, Marella Discovery-2 belonging to Marella Cruises will have 13 voyages and Resilient Lady belonging to Virgin Voyages will have 11 voyages to Bodrum. In addition to all this ship, ferry and passenger traffic, Bodrum Cruise Port is also making a name for itself with the social responsibility projects it carries out with its ships and maritime promotions it provides to students.
'Will Welcome 2025 New Ships in 14'
Stating that he predicts that 2025 will be a record year for both the number of ships and passengers, Aziz Güngör, Director of Eastern Mediterranean Ports at Global Ports Holding, said: “We expect a record number of ships and passengers in the 2025 cruise season. We also foresee intense passenger traffic on the Bodrum-Kos-Bodrum ferry line. The fact that we will be hosting 14 new ships that will come to Bodrum for the first time this year shows that our destination is increasingly preferred in the international arena. The steady increase in mega yacht traffic also supports this,” he said.
