''We Made a Strong Start to 2025 in Sustainability''
Ülker CEO Mete Buyurgan stated that sustainability efforts, which begin with the soil and include all stakeholders such as producers, suppliers, business partners, and consumers, continue uninterrupted. Buyurgan continued:
“In a period when global and local dynamics are rapidly changing, sustainability continues to be the cornerstone of our business strategy. We are happy to crown our sustainability-focused growth and operational excellence approach at Ülker with the successes we have achieved on national and international platforms. In this sense, we have made a strong start to 2025. According to the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance assessment of publicly traded companies by the international financial analysis and reporting organization London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), we rose to first place in our category for the second time among 2024 companies examined worldwide, following the January 2, 2025 assessment following the January 484, XNUMX assessment.
Now, we are happy to be included in S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment for the fifth time in a row. The recognition of our sustainability efforts on both national and international platforms shows that we are on the right track. We are growing without increasing carbon emissions. In line with our goal of becoming a net zero company by 2050, we have taken and continue to take important steps to maintain renewable energy supply, increase energy efficiency, reduce water use and make waste management more effective. At the same time, our work continues to make our supply chains more responsible and sustainable. With our waste-free company approach, we will continue to produce respectfully for both nature and people and to create value for our country.”
